1st trial

2nd trial structure

Throughout this activity our goal was to create a bridge span that was 15cms made out of toothpicks. We needed to see how much weight the bridge could hold. Our design was a design that had two cubes tuck together and triangular prisims on the sides to extend. Sticks were put diagonally in the middle parts to hold and make it into two trainglar shapes. On the second Trial, we tried to add more diagonal sticks to let it hold more weight and not crash down. THe diagonal toothpicks supported the bridge for a longer time and heavier weight. (The bottom and top parts were added with diagonal toothpicks because they were the weak points. We could see a huge difference between the first and second trial. On the second trial it could hold much more weight. On the first trial our total wieght that was held were 497.2g, however on the second where we added more diagonal toothpicks on our weak points, it could hold up to 2310.6g.
